HARRIS, born in Va., Aug. 29th, 1828, died at North Salem, Ind., May 19th, 1891, (son of CHARLES and MARY (Ramsey) HARRIS) Both
are buried at Bethel Church Cemetery, Ladoga.
Elijah Harris moved to Indiana from Virginia in 1863. He was a farmer and carpenter, erecting many of the early barns around
Ladoga. Elijah preceded his family to Indiana in 1862 and returned for them the following year. He settled first in Mont. Co., years later moving to Hendricks Co., near North Salem.
