1 - at Salem, Va., CHARLES HOUTZ, born 1830, Salem, Va., died Nov. 25th, 1857, Warrensburg, Mo., (son of JOHN and (???) (Cline)) HOUTZ). Charles was a farmer.
2 - Oct. 29th, 1860 REV. SAMUEL S. SHERFY, born Aug. 16th, 1817, died
10-27-1896 (son of JOHN and MARIA (Beahm) SHERFY) born in Shenandoah Co., Va., died at Johnson City, Tenn. Both are buried at Knob Creek Cemetery. They were members of the Church of the Brethren. Rev. Sherfy was elected to the ministry in 1863. He was a Circuit Rider in East Tennesee and North Carolina for 32 years. He was also a miller and carpenter.
