558 - JOHN ROBINSON PEFFLEY (son of No.551) married at Ladoga:

1 - Oct. 6th, 1859, SAREPTA STONER, born, Mar, 21st, 1838, died, June 2nd, 1866, (daughter of JACOB and LYDIA A. STONER). Jacob was born Oct. 23rd, 1818, died Aug. 3rd, 1885. Lydia was born Sept. 26th, 1822, died June 2nd, 1902.
2 - Oct. 1870, EUNICE AMANDA HUNT, born Apr. 1st, 1842, died Dec. 30th, 1906, (daughter of IRA HUNT). All buried in Stoner Cemetery, east of Ladoga, Indiana. John R. obtained his education in the old log school house with its split benches and greased paper tacked over holes in the logs for windows. He was a brick-layer. He invented and patented a metal fence post.

Issue: All born in Mont. Co., Ind.
