548 - REBECCA JANE MANGUS (dau. of No.520) married at Whitesville, Ind., Aug. 28th, 1873, THOMAS EVERSON, born in Butler Co., Ohio, Jan. 26th, 1831, died
May 12th, 1907 (son of GEORGE W. and RACHAEL (Hankins) EVERSON).
Both are buried in Bethel Church Cemetery.
Rebecca Jane went to Indiana in 1867. Thomas went with his
parents to Indiana in 1832. Thomas Everson was married previously
to Elizabeth Ann Frantz, Sept. 22nd, 1853 (dau. of MATTHIAS and SARAH (Graybill) FRANTZ). Elizabeth was born Feb. 9th, 1837, died
Feb. 17th, 1873, buried in Matt. Frantz Cemetery on his farm.
Children of Thomas and Elizabeth: Marion, Emma, William, Ida, John, James.
The Frantz family were devout Dunkards and because of his wife's
belief, Thomas Everson became affiliated with the Brethren Church
and was one of its best workers. He was assistant pastor for many
years and a much loved man. After his wife died he married
Rebecca Mangus.
