48 - CATHERINE PEFFLEY (dau. of No.5) married in Botetourt Co., Va., (by Rev. John Holmes) Feb. 21st, 1815 JOHN BOSWELL. John died at the age of 95. Both are buried on the old homestead near Clinton Falls, Putnam Co., Ind., now owned by the Boswell heirs.

Botetourt Co., Va., deed book 19, page 388, May 1830 - Between John Boswell and Catherine Boswell of Clark Co., Ohio appoint our trusty friend David Peafley of Botetourt Co., Va., our lawful agent and attorney to receive from Matt Stover and George Stover, Executors of the will of David Peffley Sr., late of said county of Botetourt by right of the said Catherine Boswell his daughter**

Descendants of John Boswell, now living in Indiana, state that John came to America as a young man from Germany, fought in the war of 1812 and when returning home from the war met and fell in love with Catherine Peffley. Later returning to marry her. They moved to Clark County, Ohio, where they lived for many years and then moved to Putnam Co., Ind.
