477 - LULU JOSEPHINE GARST (dau. of No.476) married:

1 - Mar. 9th, 1884 at Hanging Rock, Va., MARK JARRET, born in Greenbrier Co., Va., (son of JAMES and EVALINE JARRET). Mark died Oct. 30th, 1889.
2 - Oct. 10th, 1896 JOHN HUNTER CLAY, born in Greenbrier Co., W. Va., died Dec. 25th, 1935 (son of DR. THOMAS and MARGARET (Jarret) CLAY). He was a farmer and cattleman. Lulu and Mark Jarret moved to Portland, Oregon, where they lived for five years. She came home on a visit in September and Mark started home in October, took smallpox and died on the train. Is buried at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was a lawyer.
