Dec. 12th, 1937.

Mary Hill was a sister of John Hill whose wife was Alice Thompson. William Wainright's sister Eleanor Wainright married Eli Thomas. William's mother was Sarah Ann Dark, of the noted Dark family of England, where she was born. Sarah's sister Anne Wainright married a Thompson and had the following issue: Henry Thompson, Harle Thompson, Alice Thompson Hill, William Thompson, Alfred Thompson and Nell Thompson Fancher.

George Peffley was five years old when his parents moved to Missouri. He and his mother moved from Sedalia, Mo., to Deep Creek, Wash., in September 1884, where he farmed. Later they moved to Union Valley, ten miles south of Wilbur, Wash., where he was a wheat grower for some time. He then moved into the town of Wilbur. He was a house painter and builder and followed this trade intermittently all his life. He eventually settled at Wenatchee, Washington.

Lillian [Wainwright] Peffley

WENATCHEE, Wash., Dec. 13.-Mrs. Lillian (Wainwright)Peffley, 65, who came to this region 50 years ago, died last night at the home of her son, Earl Peffley. Funeral services will be held Wednesday.

Born near Warsaw, Ind., she came with her parents to Wilbur in 1888, and married George Peffley there in 1894. Her parents operated the first hotel at Wilbur. After her marriage she lived in Walla Walla six years, and later in Yakima and she came here in 1921.

She leaves four sons, William, Spokane; John, Goldhill, Ore.; Glen and Earl, Wenatchee; three daughters, Mrs. T. J. Reid, Mrs. Glen Steinbach and Mrs. S. G. Pygott, Wenatchee, and one sister.
