209 - MARY ELLEN PEFFLEY (dau. of No.189) married at Sedalia, Mo., in 1887, GEORGE WASHINGTON LONGDON DeJARNETTE, born near Georgetown, Pettis Co., Mo. Oct. 26th, 1850, died at Spokane, Wash., Oct. 6th, 1934, (son of REV. JOHN DeJARNETTE and JULIA ANN CLOPTON).
Both are buried at Wilbur, Wash. (See 190). The DeJarnette line is as
follows:
1 - John DeJarnette and Mary DeJarnette, Abingdon Parish, Gloucester Co., Va., married about 1700.
2 - Daniel DeJarnette, bap. Jan. 24th, 1713, married Martha Ford
in Va.
3 - Daniel DeJarnette, died in Madison Co., Ky., in 1808, married
in Va., Judith Johnson, dau. of James and Susannah Johnson.
4 - Major James DeJarnette, married in Madison Co., Ky., Feb.
7th, 1799, Elizabeth Syms (Sims), dau. of William and Martha
(Embry) Sims.
5 - REV. John DeJarnette, married Julia Ann Clopton in Madison Co., Ky., Sept. 20th, 1830. He was born Nov. 21st, 1806, d. Jan. 29th, 1867. After his marriage he moved to Pettis County, Mo. The old homestead is one and one half miles from Georgetown, Mo. Rev. John was pastor of the Church of Christ at Georgetown. Longdon DeJarnette was a farmer and stock-buyer in Pettis Co., Mo., for many years. In 1889 he moved to Wilbur, Wash., and later to Govan where he was a rural mail carrier for many years. Mary Peffley was a teacher in Missouri before her marriage.

2 - BERNICE DeJARNETTE, died in infancy.
3 - EDNA DeJARNETTE, b. 10-3-1891.
