1646 - DAVID PEFFLEY (son of No.1528) married in Bethel twp., 1807 died in West Hanover twp., Dauphin Co. Penna.

He served during the War of 1812 - found in the list of the Rolls of the War of 1812-14, Ser. 6 Vol. 7, page 411, Penna. Arch. "A true class role of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th class of the 7th Co. of the 78th Regiment of Penna. Militia the 9th day of Aug. 1814, signed, Adam Carps (er) Captain 4th class, David Pefly.

Issue: All born between 1808 and 1818.

5 - CATHERINE PEFFLEY. Dauphin Co., Penna. Records. Letters of administration in the estate of David Peffley were issued to John Kauffman, May 30th, 1818.

Orphan's Court Docket, page 305 - Sept. 2nd, 1828, upon petition of Jacob ALBERT of Letterkenny twp., Franklin Co., Penna. stating that David Peffley late of Dauphin Co., died intestate leaving five children; Lydia Peffley, Mary Peffley, Fanny Peffley and Catharine Peffley, all minors under the age of 21 years and one of whom viz. Fanny is a minor under the age of 14 years and that he the said Jacob ALBERT has been duly appointed guardian over the persons and estates of all the said minor children of the said David Peffley, deceased by the Orphan's Court of Franklin Co., Penna., the said minors residing in the said county of Franklin. the personal estate - is insufficient of the maintenance and care of the said minors; that one of them Lydia Peffley is afflicted with lameness the said intestate died siezed certain tract of land situated in Derry twp., Dauphin Co., comprising 20 acres and having erected thereon a house and stable or bank. John Cauffman made final settlement of his administration. on the 17th day of March, 1820. He (Jacob ALBERT) therefore pray the court to grant him the order to make sale of the said tract of land with the appurtenances for the maintainence and education of the said minor children of the said intestate
