BLACKWELL, Okla. — Charles “Chunk’ Jefferis, 55, of Blackwell, died Oct. 27, 2003, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Home, Anthony. Burial will be in the Waldron Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Oklahoma Blood Institute or the Waldron Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until 8 tonight or from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Jefferis was born Sept. 14, 1948, in Anthony, to Geraldine (Lynam) and Lenneth Jefferis.

On Aug. 7, 1976, he married Judy Carol Miller.

A truck driver, Jefferis resided in Anthony for several years. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Jefferis, and a son, Jared Jefferis, both of Blackwell; his mother, Geraldine Jefferis, Waldron; a brother, Johnny Jefferis, Anthony; three sisters, Barbara Catlin, Hazelton, Marilyn Peffley, Amorita, Okla., and Betty Irving, Wichita; and one grandson.
